What Must I Do To Be Saved?

1. Hear the Gospel, John 20:30-31; Romans 10:17
2. Believe the Gospel, Hebrews 11:6; Romans 1:16
3. Repent of Sins, Luke 13:3; Acts 17:30-31
4. Confess Christ, Romans 10:10; Matthew 10:32
5. Be Baptized, Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38
6. Continue faithful unto death, 2 Peter1:1-11; Revelation 2:10

Is Baptism Necessary?

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. (Mark 16:16)

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you , in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call” (Acts 2:38, 39)

Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.” (John 3:5)

And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on His name. (Acts 22:16)

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. (Romans 6:1-4)

Having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead. (Colossians 2:12)

And this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also–not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. (I Peter 3:21)
